Queen + Paul Rodgers today confirmed much-anticipated shows for October 16 at Continental Airlines Arena (The Meadowlands) in East Rutherford, N.J., and October 22 at the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, Calif.

Tickets for the Continental Arena date will go on sale at 10 a.m. EST on Saturday, July 30, and for the Hollywood Bowl date at 10 a.m. PST on Sunday, July 31. Tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster or http://www.queenpluspaulrodgers.com, http://www.queenonline.com, or http://www.paulrodgers.com. (Check the Web sites for information on pre-sales and special VIP ticket opportunities.)

how big are the venues?

The Hollywood Bowl is pretty big, but not any kind of a stadium type venue. Maybe 20,000 or so. Radiohead sold out 2 nights there with no problem, Coldplay sold out 3 nights there.

T: The Continental Airlines Arena at The Meadowlands holds 20,000 for concerts. I had assumed it would be an outdoor gig at the Jimmy Hoffa Memorial Stadium, but the CAA is an indoor venue.

Oh God, these are the best news of the year for me!!

Did anyone sign up for the Fan Club listing of U.S. members. I sent Jackie an e-mail, but I haven't received a reply yet.

Please anyone let me know if they've been notified how to get pre-sale tickets.

It is now really really important that ALL North American fan club members get in touch IMMEDIATELY by email. We have STILL not been given the go ahead to release our mailshot, and it's now Monday, and it will take at LEAST three days to get to you... which might mean you wont get it in time for the tickets to go on sale to the public, let alone for the pre-sale!

I am really sorry about this, but I can't release anything without permission, and although the letter is waiting and the envelopes are already addressed, it can't go til possibly tomorrow, 26th. Pre-sale to fan club members could be this THURSDAY 28th.

I'm afraid I won't be able to go though. That's what, like a three hour drive from where I am?

IF...I had the money...I would prefer to go to the Hollywood Bowl Show...much more. GREAT venue.
