It seems to be that the instrumentals of Final Fantasy VII's "One-Winged Angel" could've very well been inspired by Queen's Chinese Torture. Queen was quite popular in Japan.

It's definitely Chinese Torture-ish.....dunno if thats a coincedence or not tho....
its like when John Lee Hookers people tried to sue ZZ top over the La Grange riff.......its just a basic blues riff really........but I dont doubt that that may have indeed been ispired by Chinese Torture...I kept waiting to hear some Red Special while listening to that :)
Some influence, but seems more classical.
