I partially agree. There's a difference between someone posting an occasional comment that is racist, sexist, etc., and someone who does it in every post, with malice intended towards someone, or a large group of people. Another thing to consider how well-informed the comments are. I suppose it's relative to each particular instance. Hmm, well... that doesn't help setting general rules now then, does it? Just expressing my thoughts!

I totally agree w/ Sir GH's first reply. I mean, think about how it is with someone who's sexist/racist ect. That person may make a racist comment or talk about their belief rarely but when that person keeps making comments or jokes toward the people they dislike, that's out of control and that's when the person should be banned. But you should at least try to warn him first.
