Heh. I dunno, remixing is fair game I reckon, nobody makes any dosh out of it. As for sharing karaoke mixes, I'm always tempted to request things like A Winter's Tale and I Was Born to Love You (which - sucks to be me - weren't on the Karaoke CD I bought). But you know, I don't. It's hardly legal :D

Edit button ain't working? RIP OFF!

Anyway - I'm actually going to hunt down I Was Born to Love You because I have an idea, I want to combine it with an 1986 song.

Thanks for this! I have been having a heck of a time trying to rip the audio from my copy of the DVD-A. :D

DVD Audio Extractor, Dan. Easy as a breeze, guaranteed! Let me know if you need help, it's worth it even if just to hear how they built their songs.

Hey Fireplace or Fickle or anyone, I could use some help :)

I can't get this ripped either. Had no trouble with 'The Game' but I've tried everything with ANATO and I keep getting 'Cannot read the selected audio stream..'

I updated DVD Audio Extractor (new one came out yesterday), that didn't help. Having the disc decrypted and on the HD doesn't help, having the main title alone reauthored, etc...

I tried some other program which I quickly got rid of because it didn't even support DTS.

I'm just now trying my last idea.. the 'Single DVD Vob File' mode. I've joined the main title vob into one big vob..

Doesn't even open. Oh well.

Oddly enough, I got the very same error message yesterday, while trying to rip I'm In Love With My Car. I have obviously ripped tracks from ANATO DVD-A before, so there was no reason for this error message, however, I closed DVD Audio Extractor, and re-opened it (with the DVD still in the drive), and it worked fine. Weird, huh?

So, there's a new one out, is there? Is it any different to the old one, or merely an update so that the old cracks no longer work?

I got it to work finally after I noticed Death on Two Legs was reading at 4:41 length. I figured out that there's one minute of silence at the beginning, and that must have been what was confusing the program. So I made a trimmed version with DVD Shrink and then had no problems.

I can't see a lot new in this version except some fancier buttons on the final screen, LOL.

BTW, be sure and get the local download on their site if you update. The links to Tucows and the other one both had the previous version. This one is 3.3.2

I don't tend to update unless there's a good reason - I usually work on the principal, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!".

I wanted to upgrade my Sony Soundforge from my current Version 7 to the new Version 8, which does have some significant improvements, i.e. VST support, but it also wants me to download Micro$oft .NET Framework, which tries to take over your computer, and I don't want it, therefore I'm stuck with Version 7.

I understand completely. The Extractor version that I had up until I started doing this DTS to Dolby conversion stuff was totally free as far as I know.. I had it forever and it never bothered me about registering.

I updated to a newer one only because I read somewhere that they'd fixed a problem with the bass channel turning into corrupted junk, which I had encountered a few times myself.

Then I only updated again last night because I couldn't get ANATO extracted and thought it might help. I haven't had either of the newer ones for 30 days yet, but I will probably be inclined to actually register it if/when it forces me to. I like the program a lot and it's given me a great opportunity to finally hear these mixes. It's worth the $29 to me :)

Yes, a double bass. He used it in Bring Back That Leroy Brown too. (a little part, though)

There are only a few tracks which this can be done with. Love Of My Life and Play The Game are two others which I have already posted here.

Oh, and please do not SHOUT!!!
