I have been on Sebastian's website, queenconcerts and a shitload of other sites, including Freddie's boxset website and the official ''Time'' website, but I can NOT find a complete listing of the musicians who played on Freddie's version of ''In My Defense'' from the musical ''Time'' written by Dave Clark, David Soames and Jeff Daniels.

BTW..I love that song and the way Freddie interprets it.

Does anyone have a complete listing/Breakdown of the musicians (BTY did Freddie play the piano on that?) who played and on what instruments?

Ahh crap, I don't have my Freddie box set with me at work, but it does list the musicians. Unless I am beaten by the time I get home, I will check and post back.

I do know that Freddie initially wanted to record the songs with John, Brian, and Roger, but sessions had already been booked by the time Freddie agreed to do the tracks; he was told if he wasn't pleased with the results, then he could go back and record the songs with the others, but apparently he was pleased and this never happened. Good thing it did, too, as he never would have met Mike Moran otherwise.

Interesting. Peter Banks played synths. Wasn't he Yes's original keyboardist?

EDIT: Tony Kaye was Yes's original keyboardist, while Peter Banks was their guitarist before Steve Howe. Must be another Peter Banks, then.

That Paul Vincent, who plays the guitar on ''In My Defense'' I have to admit I am very impressed with his work.

As for Mike Moran...gorgeous, very understated, fluid player.

But what Freddie brings to both songs..especially ''In My Defense'', very majestic emotionally powerful performance that resonates with the lyrics.

Bet Freddie would have been great acting in the stage musical instead of just ''guesting'' with Cliff Richard. If his health had been better, who knows what could have been? Think of all the other rock stars who have done stage musicals.

Oh well. If wishes were pennies from heaven.
