Question about parrots for Janet... I think my Quaker needs to get laid

I don't know what's wrong with my parrot. There are times when I start petting him, and he starts acting quite bizarre. His feathers get all puffy, and he starts making these kinda nearly silent noises like heavy breathing. Then he starts jumping from one hand to the other and moving slowly and kinda like humping my hand.

Does my parrot need to relief himself sexually?

LMAO!! My dog is fixed, but sometimes he tries to rub his weiner on my foot..:-p
J
He did, on your hand ;-)

Seriously...parrots bond quite heavily with their owners, and when they reach maturity, they bestow their affection on you in exactly the manner you describe. Mine take it a step further and even regurgitate food on me, what an honor to have the love of a parrot!

Well, I can't really say that he's humping my hand, but that's what he seemed to be doing.

Once my mom saw him humping a stuffed "bird buddy" that he has on his cage.

Yes...parrots feed their mates to show their love. Its a big honor to be vomited on by a parrot ;-)
