its not just to support Live 8, it is to show that every 3 seconds a child dies of extreme poverty in Africa, thats what the 3 is, it was also a sort of campaign, like the Live 8 list i think, but thats the main reason, every 3 seconds, ok?

Did you take my advice and sign up on the official Live 8 website to get email newsletters so you can actually DO something productive to help?
I got another newsletter today, from the ''One Campaign/Make Poverty History.''
Action, speaks louder than symbols after your name. I know you mean well, but intentions work when followed up with action that produces and gets positive results.
oh my actions are being followed up, already got a series of plans for when i get back to school so dont worry about that, and i did sign up a while ago yet im not recieving anything!
and smitty, in what way do you find it stupid? im pretty sure it was a campaign at the time and its like all this other stuff going round at the moment aswell e.g.

now im not saying i dont care about that but if the 3 is stupid then this is surely more pathetic, and so is the 7 from the london bombings, and the 8 from the G8 summit, if this is stupid then they all are.

That's ok, I understand what you mean. YOU are doing the right thing.
If a person cannot afford to contribute funds, then please sign the ''One Campaign/Make Poverty History'' petitions and sign up for the email newsletters from the campaign listed on Bob Geldof's website, the Live 8 website,
AND on the www.liveaiddvd.net website, click on ''links'' and you will see the ''Make Poverty History'' site, you can sign up for the emailed newsletters and you will be regulalrly informed of global political reforms and legislation to help...which will ask for you to sign further petitions that go to these politicians, or to call or write your politicians and it gives their TOLL free phone numbers and websites and such.
Make a difference CONTINUALLY. Don't let Live 8, be a one time event like Live Aid. That's the purpose of Live 8..to let people know they need to continually stay informed and take action, to help end world poverty, find a cure for AIDS, and help those less fortunate around the world, etc.
