Some friends of mine are travling towards Zanzibar at this moment. They asked me if there is anything Freddie related to visit ?
Can anyone of you provide me addresses or places which are freddie related. Many thanks in advance!!

I don't know... Hospital where he was born, beach... Well... Not many places I guess!
His Mum?
Try a tourist agency for information, becuase i`ve heard that now they`re doing touristic routes related to Feeddie. I don`t know if this is true or not, but it appears that after Freddie`s dead they wanted to forget about him because of his sexuality, etc, etc. But it appears that japanese fans and european fans would allways ask for places related to Freddie, so i think now that it`s easy to find if you ask the locals about it!!

''The musician Farrokh Bulsara (a.k.a Freddie Mercury) of Queen was born in Zanzibar in 1946. There is also a restaurant named 'Mercurys' on the beachfront of Stone Town.''
I did an extensive Yahoo/Google search and all the tourism sites had zip outside of mentioning that Freddie was born in Stone Town. The above was the only thing I could find.
I agree...try a chamber of commerce site and (though I did find many sites and they didn't have anything), but I would think that might list Freddie's original birthplace/home, childhood neighborhood, school, etc.

This link is to a woman's travel diary of her visit to Zanzibar -- she is a New Yorker who happened to be there on 9-11 so it's a bit surreal. There is a photo of the building reporting to be the Bulsara home:

Other accounts I have read suggest that several different buildings are pointed to as "Freddie Mercury's house." I don't know whether his family lived in different places or if it is just a good thing to say to tourists.
