Niek (Friedchicken) made an alternative and better cover within two minutes ;-)

Well in my opinion for the cover it looks like the people are just waiting to die as a nuke hits. Scary. If they didnt put Queen and Paul Rodgers there you would think Osama and Saddam produced their own album.
who cares I'm not going to buy it anyway. Release something with Freddie in it instead: Hammersmith, Houston or the Works tour DVD. I'll pay for that.
*stabbity stab stab goes the switchblade into Suigi's eyeballs*
smells like The Firm's first album cover, that downward slash from top right yeah and where is Richard Gray at anyway?
I'm going to risk ridicule here - I like it.
I think it's a really cool photo. I like the angle, and the two planes that the audience is on.
True enough, the title is a bit dodgy, but it's really no surprise is it.
I like Niek's version, except for the actual band. I love the logo and the lights in other words, but the band looks like it's standing around waiting for a cup of tea - hardly the look you want on a live album.

I agree with you there, the cover is GREAT!
This artwork really SUCKS. I thought it was a joke, but it isn't. If Richard Gray did it, well... His work on Brian's "Another World" or the "Queen Rocks" CD and video wasn't great too, so I'm not surprised. For the single, the promo release looks much better than the "official".
Apparently it was inspired by Close Encounters Of The Third Kind.

Spot on Elessar with the WWRY offer.
Hmmm, still not liking it. Should have fitted with the purple colours of the tour really.
If they are gonna keep this though, they need to get rid of that awful "Return Of The Champions" text. Thats the cruncher.

what's the most important? album cover? or the music ?
Brian, Roger, Paul and co are musicians, are'nt they? they do sell music not beautiful pics ...

As I should have said it myself.. :)
I think that Queen should let bootlegers do the art work for future releases. Really, i mean, i remember the time when i bought bootlegs just for the cover. Even though i knew that the sound would be shit, i allways had hope that with a cover like that maybe the sound was ok too. I was allways wrong, but at least i wold get a new picture from Queen :))
That was something i allways admired in bootlegers, their capacity to deliver a brilliant album cover!!
take care

Apparently that cover has been signed off and confirmed. So there's no chance of it being changed. Maybe they could improve it with a well positioned and well-designed (unlike the following example) sticker?
