Many live albums have sold well. That is just what they thought way back before "Frampton Comes Alive"...ever heard of MTV Unplugged? Sheesh there are many other live releases that have sold very well. There is a strategic way to sell and release things and I totally agree they should not wait another decade for a live release but that they should wait until 2009. Then after that about three years and then two between more live releases and perhaps a that point releasing a live l.p. once a year for a few years...
Wait for Hammersmith 79 three more years! Torture!!!
Now is a very bad time to whine, Queen is once again in the news, they found a capable singer, they toured, we fans (most of us anyway) had a blast seeing the show, and of course we'll be happy to buy the horribly titled ROTC.

QPR, an active band, and the Queen catalogue are two different things. We all want Earl's Court, Hammy 79, Christmas 75 and more, and maybe we'll get them someday. Until then we have the boots, the downloads from queenonline ...

The QPR thing can't do the Queen business any wrong, I think. The more Queen increases their share of voice, the more material they will release. Plus we're music fans more than archaeologist, now aren't we ?

EXATCLY! If they are being talked about- there makes more sense to release Hammy 79 at that point, as it will sell...
And of course it doesn't take a long time to release THIS Sheffield footage. remember taht the video and audio are of superior quality and do not require that much cleaning and tinkering, whereas the old tapes need some work on'em...
