Just want to see what you all regard as Mr. Mercury's best vocal performance in the studio of course. Personally I cant decide and was just wondering what some of you other queenzoners thought.

That's not true, Dennis, and you know it. Vocally, Hammersmith '79 was superior, but even that wasn't the best.

absolutely!!!! this song is beautiful
and freddie really shows everyone how a song should sound...if it has one fault - it's that it's about 1&#189; minutes too short...but this song has emotion and despair in equal measure....

have you listened to ' nevermore' ? - ie when Freddie's voice was at it's peak.....tell me the vocals in TSMGO beat the range in Nevermore...and keep a straight face

That song is nearly impossible for anyone else but Freddie to sing (besides maybe traditional middle-eastern vocalists). He performs numerous trills, forced vibratos for flavor, and slides around the minor scale as if he was born doing it.
