I'm sure it's not a new topic but I am curious to see what people say is their favorite Queen concert. With so many bootlegs out there it would be nice to hear some testimony on which ones would be worth getting over others.

My favorite Queen concerts:
1. Earl's Court '77
2. Montreal '81(we will rock you dvd)
3. Houston '77
4. Rainbow '74
5. Chicago '80
6. Milton Keynes '82(on fire at the bowl)
7. Budapest '86
8. Hammersmith Odeon Xmas '75

The only one I've ever seen all the way through is Wembley '86, so I guess it would have to be that, I really do want to see Houston '77 and Hyde Park tho, any1 know where I can get the videos?

1. wembely 86 was fucking shite...freddie's voice was shafted - bigtime!!! - the show was great - but his voice suffered
2. the threadstarter - try using search button before starting a 'new thread' thta's been done a thousand times...
3. as you insist the best gigs
(soundwise- earls ct77 was great, but band were nervous)
hammy 75
hammy79
glasgow 77
manchester 75
houston 77
gg73

other personal faves...the (other) gigs i attended - brum 79, brum 84, knebworth 86

...and as for MK82 - i wouldn;t touch it with a bargepole - okay so after various 'touchups' it sounds great...but I WAS THERE, and it was NOTHING special. Apparently the gig to see queen on during the HS tour was Leeds (Elland Rd)
go deo na hÉireann The best QZ epoch: BG17-00 (Before Gerry 1996-2013)

Omaha '80 was actually better than Chicago '80, but unfortunately there's no boot around to prove that ;)

Queen's best show is most likely something not available on boots...well at least they were all recorded...somewhere....
"I have no time for Time magazine. Or Rolling Stone." Jethro Tull
U
Queen Live At The Summit Houston 11 Decembre 1977, simply the best show.

P.S.
this is the 10th topic about the best concert...
U
Houston is THE concert
M
Milwaukee 1975 is a favourite of mine

I know it is fun to do this topic but you guys must listen to more shows before you can say it. And this is always depending on what we like for kind of setlist, and which member do you think of most, is it always freddie's performance that is the thing you think of. so this is a topic can go on forever...

Manchester '75 hasn't got very good sound at all IMO. Wembley Arena in 1980 has great sound.

Wembley's indeed great

1)Houston 1977(no question, I loved the My Melancholy Blues and Brian's solo spot here and the rest of the show just kicked ass)
2)Montreal 1981(great show on the We Will Rock You DVD unfortunate the French Canadian speaking audiences were more reserved than the US or English or English Canadian audiences here)
3)Earls Court 1977(the Queen II stuff rocked as did Brighton Rock here)
4)Milton Keynes 1982
5)Zurich 1978
6)Wembley Arena 1980
7)Rainbow Theatre November, 1974
8)Hammersmith 1975
9)Japan 1985
9)Wembley Stadium 1986

where does the thread ask about sound quality? he/she asks what is the best concert? and the atmosphere at manchester 75 was great - listen to it. the band played a fuller set than hammy xmas, and the band/audience interaction was good

You guys kill me! You take this shit so seriously and rip each other apart when someone wants to start a new thread that has been done before. If you don't like the fact that they have started another thread that was done 5 days ago, well fucking ignore it then. Maybe they didn't have the time to go through and search every time they have a question or a thought and just want to ask it anyway. I see this all the DAMN time were you guys get pissed because someone starts a thread and others think they shouldn't or they should search first or add on somewhere else. Get a life!
T
And this isn't in particular to this thread, just a pattern I have noticed up here alot with people bitching at each other saying, "before you post a thread that's been done before, research it and search for it first". Blah, blah, blah, don't take this shit so seriously and take a chill pill. By the way, I like the Osaka show in 1976.
