Apparently, midgets (some don't mind being called that..not little people) and enjoy capitalizing on people's humor about them.

In the USA, Dwarf tossing and Dwarf wrestling both male and female, are all the rage and YES I have watched it. Too whack for words, and Hilarious.

I used to work with a midget at Blockbuster video. She had the best attitude about it and would make fun of herself. She would say that if the Blockbuster thing didn't work out, she could "join the circus or something"..:-)

There is a midget woman Manager of the Rite Aid Pharmacy/Convenience Store I go to and she is a blast. Loves to joke around and is very nice.

I have gone to a gay dance club and on two occasions have seen the same midget there. He's usually standing by the bar, letting his taller friends get drinks for him. Man, the adversity of being gay is bad enough but I feel sorry for him. I would have asked him out, but I'm 6'2'' and the height difference would have been a little weird for me.

I don't think those midgets were exploited though. They were offered the job, hired and paid..and from what I also hear in legendary lore, tipped quite well.
