I believe the reason for the no official stuff rule is to offer some legal protection to Richard. In my personal (not fact based) opinion, I do not believe sharing something that has been out of print for over 5 years would result in legal trouble for Richard. However, this is his site, and he has provided these rules for his own protection. People need to abide by Richard's rules (It's HIS site), even if they disagree with his rules.

There seems to be a number of posters lately that are ignoring Richard' rules (putting him in danger) and sharing out of print items.

If you want to share out of print items - do it in the hub as it is permitted there.
