I think perhaps Reuters has fallen victim to a prank. I'm certain I've seen this story months ago and it turned out to be a joke. Not that it's unbeleivable or anything...

Not that this couldn't well be a prank, but believe me, when I watch my friends' kids play computer battle games for like 15 hours straight, without a break, without eating and they get FU**ing hyper if they do down a level and take it way too serious.

I've seen kids hyperventilate and freak out. GET A LIFE, it's only a game.

When did parents stop teaching their kids to go outside and play ball or sports and get some fresh air and social interaction?

Then these kids grow up just as screwed up adults and fall over from a heart attck from playing too many computer games. Whack!

When I was like 9 or 10 years old I cried because I was about to finish Super Mario and I ran out of lives. I remember I had a whole bunch of my friends cheering for me to kill King Koopa and recue the Princess, but I couldn't do it. Back then I felt like I let everyone down. Now I just remember that and I laugh at how stupid I was.

I used to always try and get to the Princess with big Mario or, better yet, fire Mario, that way I could just run across the bridge without worrying about King Koopa. ;-)

After I saved the princess with no problems and could get there easily, but couldn't ever get much further, I gave up on that stupid game and I haven't played another since.
