when the dowload bar was totally filled in but it was bright green does that mean its done?

Yep, should be done then. Do you happen to have something for playing DVDs on your computer such as PowerDVD? If so, try that and select 'Open DVD File on hard disc' and browse for that VIDEO_TS folder.

I'm also having trouble playing this file. I do have PowerDVD, but I'm not very familiar with using it. I can't even figure out how to open a file...I switched to "file mode" but now what?

Ok I made a couple screencaps to help.

First cick on the little envelope-looking thing here and select "Open DVD file on hard disc drive"

Next, browse for the VIDEO_TS folder you downloaded. Just select the folder itself, and click OK:

Thanks a lot, Wigglepuppy. My PowerDVD program looks different so maybe I just have an older version or something. Oh well, I think I might be able to figure it out now.

Is there an easy way to change it to mpg, a VCD is enough for me from TV broadcast, i got an anal retentive DVD player which plays DVD-R when it wants.
