Yea, im pretty sure killer Queen is right. but i coulod be wrong. and yes, i do think it deserved to be number one.
hello.
bohemian rhapsody reached number one in uk in 1975, and it was in that position for 9 weeks, and it was the first number one single in uk. it was also number one in netherlands, new zeland, australia, canada, ireland, and maybe other countries like portugal, spain, belgium.
and the first number one album was a night at the opera, which was 5 weeks in that position. it was also number one in netherland (10 weeks),portugal, spain (and it was the best selling album in 1976), and other countries.
maybe killer queen was number one in some countrie in 1974, but i don´t know

Adam.
seven seas of rhye was number 10 in uk, wen it was the first single of queen 2 album. that album was number 5 in uk, and spent in the charts for 29 weeks. it was gold award (more than 100.000 copies).
it was realised after queen´s participation on top of the pop program, when david bowe couldn´t go there.

In New Zealand we have this thing on right now to find the ULTIMATE number one (all the number one songs we have had since 40 years ago) and let me tell you, Bo rhap is doing bloody good. It got like 50 somthing % of the votes and the only other song to poll that high was Bob Marley-One love. This is irrelevint but I just thought I would say...
Oh, is that that stupid thing on Headliners? I've seen a few of them but never bothered to vote. They had Bo Rhap on the same week as Wannabe by Spice Girls...come on. They seem to pick some strange things to pit against each other.
As far as I know "Killer Queen" got to #2, but the next album gave "Bohemian Rhapsody" which reached #1 . The album got to #1 in the album charts also, which was their first album #1 in the UK also.
Yeah i read somewhere that CLTCL was the first number 1 in north america.
hello.
yes, in some places says that it was a number one single in usa, and it sold over 2 millions copies.
