The World Cup has become so unpredictable that I won't even dare to pick a favorite. I'd perhaps place my bets on Argentina for having a strong team, and this time they will probably learn from the mistakes from their performance on Korea/Japan 2002.

Yeh Mr.Jingles you're correct but i honestly think Brazil have a scarily good side for this world cup, i just can't see past them.

Dida, Lucio, Kaka', Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Adriano etc

Although im desperate for Italy to win.

Brazil isn't the obvious answer:
why? - because Sth American Teams only win when the tournament is played on American continent, and European teams win in Europe.

Two exceptions....Japan/Korea 2002 - where the winner was not going to be local, and Sweden 1958 - where Brazil won....

England doesn't have what it takes to win the World Cup.

The only WORLD CLASS player i can think of is really Lampard.

I also thought Rooney but when he plays against strong opponents, he's far too quiet.

Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Denmark and Czech Republic, possibly more, have better squads than England.

Denmark?? Because the beat England last week??

Brazil is the favourite. Countries like Argentina, Czech Rep, Spain, Portugal, England and Holland are good outsiders I think.

Well no, i feel Denmark are sooooo under rated.
And they've beated England twice in the past two years so i don't think there is anything wrong with saying they have a better squad than England.

I'm deeply concerned about the internal corruption and negligence against bad referees of FIFA. It affected the tournament the last time, and chances are that it could possibly happen again.

Spain truly deserved a spot on the semifinals on 2002, but of course referees always favour the local teams. When asked about the controversial performance of the referee all Blatter could say that there was nothing anyone could do about it, and refused the use of technology to prevent future mistakes from happening.

Blatter is a fuckin' idiot. After all this is the same guy who said that female players should were more revealing uniforms to make women football more popular.
