Thanks, Tia. I guess the only advantage I have among this group of youngsters is that I was already an adult when QUEEN became successful and did lots of touring. Since I had extensive music training as a child, I was able to recognize the remarkable quality of QUEEN's music right away. In the 60's, 70's and 80's I was able to see a number of top artists perform live (including Beatles at Shea Stadium in 1965, Whitney Houston, Journey, Linda Ronstadt, Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, etc.), but QUEEN by far put on the best shows. Their music was top notch, their stage lighting was outstanding, and no one has ever been able to rival Freddie Mercury as a front man and performer. I actually preferred QUEEN in the 80's (rather than in the 70's) because Freddie toned down the ricidulous leotards, enabling everyone to concentrate on the music. Great shows indeed. If you have the Wembley '86 DVD, you get a good idea what their live shows were like. Everybody always left those shows happy and awe-struck.
