Anyways, when Freddie shaved the mustach, does somebody knows if they're was a tour after and if Freddie went on stage without a "tash"? Are they some pictures?
Do you mean The Great Pretender or I Want To Break Free? If IWTBF - video was filmed in spring of 1984 and tour started in the late August 1984. If GP - all Freddie's performances (mimed and live) were without moustache...

I mean the period that followed IWTBF. So Freddie had the time to grow back is mustach. So there's no picture of him in 1984 on stage without a tash?
I have always wondered why Freddie got rid of his moustache in 1987, did it discintigrate because of AIDS, or wanted to look smarter with Montseratt duet?
God bless your ignorant soul dear Sicmot. When I look at your actual photo I can come up with some serious diagnosis about you, too. Other veneral diseases? Since when is AIDS a veneral disease? Let's forget about facts - for example: there was no HIV test in 1984 and there was no AZT in 1986.
Instead, let's speculate about who gave whom the virus, let's lay the "blame" on someone we don't even know the name of. Let's screen photos of Freddie and speculate about his weight, his skin colour and let's speculate about Freddie's lifestyle and let's bring in more "possible veneral diseases"
The worst thing about this whole thread is that people don't even realize anymore how incredibly low-style and tabloid such "speculations" and this reading tea leaves from photos and videos are.
You're right!

Last time Freddie performed live on stage without his moustache is when he was in Spain performing Barcleno with Moneserat.
SHARON G has raised some interesting points in relation to Mercury's diagnosis of HIV, which are very worthy of a response.
Did he find out for sure in 1987 as stated in more than one book that he had AIDS? I have read before from a quote by Brian May that during the Magic Tour that some of the band members were bickering during a sound check and Mercury quipped " look lets just get on with it, I may not be around in a few years" or something to that effect, well what was all that about??
Obviously Brian May thought something odd about this remark, otherwise he would not have raised it or remembered it.
Did Mercury know something was wrong with his health then? This is a credible source of info as it came from a interview with Brian May back in the late 1990's.
In regards to SHARON G pointing out about Mercury's physical appearance from 1985 to 1986, well I have no doubt his flabby stomach and roundish face was a result of Mercury's alcohol consumption, look at the piano at Wembley 1986, cups of beer everywhere!!!! which would have greatly contributed to the loss of muscle tone in his arms and shoulders.
SHARON G points this to the treatment of AZT, I dont know enough about side effects of this drug, but if Mercury was diagnosed with AIDS in 1987, why would he be taking AZT in 1986?? Im not sure whether a medical diagnosis of HIV was present in the mid 1980s or whether the term HIV existed at that point of time.
I can only assume Mercury did find out for sure he had full blown AIDS in 1987, due to the ever ailing physical appearance from there onwards, even pictures of Mercury's 41st Birthday bash in 1987 shows Mercury was not all too well, his face was white, probably due to laser treatment of KS.
His white blood count had allegedly dropped significantly a few days prior.
So its a debateable topic as to when Mercury discovered he was ill with AIDS, someone wrote on this sight Mercury caught the disease in 1981 -82, I cannot believe this for a minute, also Mary Austin has stated he caught the disease in 1984, perhaps Mercury suspected he had caught the AIDS virus then, who knows.
I invite people to respond to these points I have raised, and by nommeans am I stating SHARON G is wrong.

In Jim Huttons book he said Freddie found out in 1987 that he had aids. He was tested for the HIV virus and the tests came back as full blown aids.Im not sure but I dont think he knew anything during the Magic tour. As far as him saying that he wasnt going to be around to Brian, I read that he said he wasnt going to be touring forever. He was getting tired of it as it took so much out of him, after all he was over 40.
Over 40 doesn't mean dog shit!
Elton, Billy Joel, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, Ozzy, Bruce Springsteen...etc..etc... all touring..all over 50, some in their 60's.
When Freddie "caught" the diesease and found out about it are 2 different things.
Please remember folks, it doesn't take a clairvoyant in the mid-1980's to predict that Freddie may have had HIV/AIDS.
He had slept with thousands of men, in various parts of the world.
There is a very rare quote I once read, and I cannot remember the source, but as the story went, Hutton told Freddie when they first started dating seriously something to the effect of "Freddie I hope my past doesn't bother you as I have been with probably 50 men sexually in my life"....
Fred replied something to the effect that "Darling, thats the least of my worries, I have been with that many men in a week before"
Who knows when Fred caught the disease??
He VERY WELL could have been HIV positive in 1977.... or 1981??
I mean, Hutton has at least been HIV+ since the mid 1980's.... this is 20 years later.
Its possible that Freddie could have been a HIV+ through his whole career with Queen.
Freddie, as active as he was, and considering at age 40, he hardly had the first wrinkle on his face, and given the fact that his dad lived well into his 80's, and his mom is still alive... you would have to assume that Fred would see a ripe old age under normal circumstances.
For HIV/AIDS, to kick in so strong, and kill Fred in 1991.... its my belief that Fred, at minimum, was HIV positive for at least 10 years.
There is no way that people like Magic Johnson, Jim Hutton, and others have lived 20 years with this.... and Freddie caught in in 1986/87..and died in '91.
There is no way.... thats why when Mary insists that he KNEW he was HIV positive in 1984.... I don't think that is out of the question.

- Many suspected it, his ilness being some form
of cancer cos Aids was still the new "not that
spread out and acute threat"

- The first recognised case was reported in USA
june 1981 which doesnt mean the virus didnt
exist in world long time before. the current
knowledge shows the traces extends to late
1930 in Congo. So in that light its not out
confined, Freddie could have gotten the virus
even early/during seventies.. But I still
believe he contracted the virus during early
eighties since the virus did pop up to public
awareness seriously only after early eighties
when it began to have casualties at will in
gay communities first and slowly reaching
other sosial classes. Yes it must have shipped
to USA not much earlier, so shows the
statistics when compared death causes between
other diseases and by then that "new plague"

- In my belief theres certain possibilities;
If we assume he got the bug 79/80 and lived
11-12 yrs so that is the average life
expectation of a hiv-infected person without
medications, so the infection had progressed
to full-blown aids by -87/88, certainly not
86. so he would have coped 3-4 yrs with his
medication of AZT and other antibiotical
treatment.
If we assume he was infected 86/87 which is
quite impossible, because there's only few
reported cases of so rapid progression,
cases where the virus has wiped out
patient's immunological functions within 2-4
yrs. I can hardly imagine Fred would have
had the misfortune to be one of the unlucky
ones. Even if he had dozens of strains
gotten by some of the thousands of men he
slept with, we have to remember the
probability of becoming infected being 1 to
1000 in unprotected analsex.
Thats the scenario of a normally living
person and his expectations. Then we have
to remember the other, downside of his life
his physically & immunologically consuming
activities, preferring to use of dopes
mainly cocaine, but al
