I am okay with South Carolina or Atlanta....personally I think a change of venue would be good to get some others out from other parts of North America....my preference is Toronto but I think New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia would all be good....haven't had an East side North American convention in a while and those ones were historically among the biggest....If it has to be in Ohio, maybe we should shoot for Columbus or there is also Pittsburgh in the next state....still vote for T.O. though
Many people drive, and New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey are way too far east.
Cleveland draws from Chicago to the west, Detroit from the northwest, Totonto from the north, New York from the east, and Hotlanta from the south.
Pittsburg is expensive (dominated by US Scare) for airfare (I travel to Erie PA for business and flying to Cleveland is much cheaper than Pittsburgh.
Toronto is too far north, and Hotlanta is too far south.
Columbus is ok centrally, but is not a major airport hub.
Although Cleveland is not a vacation mecca, it is the best possible site for the convention (for maximum attendance).
