The weekend before last, I went to a restaurant in Hampshire that served, amongst other things, Springbok, Kudu, Zebra, Wild Boar, Impala, Kangaroo, Crocodile, Shark and Marlin steaks :-)

I had the Wild Boar, which was pretty good. My sister had the Impala, my Mum had the Springbok, my nephew had Zebra and my brother had a normal dish because he is a wuss and wouldn't try anything exotic.

If anyone lives near Hampshire and wants to check the place out, go to www.thehatchgate.com and check the exotic food menu. They have plenty of specials on offer.

Personally, I think the Chef has a deal going with the keepers at Marwell Zoo ;-)

I'd probably go for the Ostrich with peppercorn sauce. It looks like a nice place.. homey yet pricey. :) $13 for a quarter pound burger? My 8oz ostrich steak would be $25. Out of my league I'm afraid. I'd have to stay in and warm up some faggots.
