CD burning software. I'm trying to get EAC to work BUT previously I was using Pinacle Instant CD/DVD. The bloody thing messes everything- changing the tracks sequence, corrupting the sound every time the audio CD is longer than 50 minutes (and I'm recording on low speed). Do you know any reliable CD burning programs (PC, not MAC)? Did you ever have those kind of problems with Pinacle?

Yep, Nero has been hassle-free for me when it comes to CDs. I customize them and burn at 40x and never had a problem. When it comes to their DVD stuff though, that's another story :-P

While EAC is the best program for extracting audio files, it's burning function is not better than any other program. Aside from Nero you could also try Feurio. It's free and works great, especially for audio discs, because you don't have to set the pauses between tracks to 0 seconds each time you want to burn a disc. That's the only drawback of Nero IMO, that it always keeps the 2-second-pauses between songs even though it's already been set DAO.

I actually LOVE the pause feature of Nero. I'm more anal than most, so I actually trim silence in 1 second intervals and recreate it with Nero during the burning process.
I went through hell one time trying to find something that would copy discs EXACTLY as they were, with pauses in place.. and they all converted the pauses back to silence (even Nero I'm afraid) so I gave up and decided to recreate them myself.
Not that it makes any difference.. whether the silence is at the end of the track, or reads as 'countdown' time. Some players don't even support pauses anyway.. but I'm anal about having the exact running time for each track be reflected on the CD player's display :-P
I even go so far as to carefully examine the ends of tracks to find the exact ending point where the music turns into hiss.. on the Queen 2001 remasters, they very lazilly just let the tape keep going for the whole thing rather than fading to silence between tracks.. so there's digitally remastered tape hiss between tracks... but not on my copies for playback.
