I Will Always Love Freddie Mercury As Fontman of Queen but...

after having seen a preview of the new DVD with Paul Rodgers as frontman I am struck but the new Queen sound with him at the helm.

Fantastic! Completely unique as Queen always has been and truly are. Some songs Paul does his best but my heart goes out to him because FM will ALWAYS out do him vocally in some of the tunes but he gets an A for the effort.

I cannot wait to see them LIVE and IN PERSON because I love Bad Company and Queen so very much.

i agree full marks for effort,it got brian and roger back on the road again, i dont know but i think this might be brian and rogers last full tour as queen and just do bits and pieces here and there in the years to come..

Yes this tour is fantastic....Paul is fantastic and I'm just so pleased that Brian and Roger are making music and ROCKIN again

Krizzy, are U serious? Really? Well, I love Queen but then we all did because of the charisma of one man, now don't get me wrong Rodgers is a very good singer but he's more of a blues singer, Freddie recorded My Melancoly Blues with Queen which was as bluesy as he got.

Yes, I do agree that they have a new sound but its not too Queen-like, I don't know what it is but it's not Queen.

Do we miss Queen so much that we have come to accept substandard work, sad, very sad.

Freddie may be watching but I'll tell you may he might be a little miffed. (HE was plenty pissed at Brian May's fake band a while back with a take on Bohemian Rhapsody!)

BTW is it true they do a Elvis like thing with Freddie singing Bohemian Rhapsody and then they joining in with the image live on stage.

I hope it is done in good taste, Freddie deserved it!

how cute, a match made in heaven. anyway, yea, i like paul rodgers, but i hope this is a one time thing. I'm impressed with pauls singing ability, great range, but deep inside we all know this isn't queen. don't get me wrong, i'm glad their doing it this once, but hopefully it's no more than once.
