all right now was good
Paul brings a new take to alot of them.'We will Rock You' is a prime example. Although not my favourite version,it is different,in a good way.
I know hes not everyones cup of tea, but he tries.
As for any fave version. There on a par with each other.

Compared to studio versions - none.
But this live version of I Want It All is undoubtedly much better than it would have been with Freddie.

I also think the same about The Show Must go On as he sings it AMAZINGLY. Yes- IWIA is awesome. I also love Fat Bottomed Girls- very, very ballsy :)

I agree as far as the studio versions are concerned. I also loved IWIA, FBG and TSMGO. I don't know how well Freddie would have sung the ''new'' stuff live and unfortunately we will never find out but I really found these live versions butt kicking.
no.
no.
How the hell do you know if you haven't seen even one gig? It's not about saying no- I'm fine with that. It's just the fact that you say that for the sake of it is... pathetic...

Seconded.
Thanks Fenderek for saving me going on a rant.
I feel for you Sharon.
No means NO.

Of course it's not Queen. You even showed that in your first setence in the quote box. Queen PLUS PAUL RODGERS
Not even Queen in the "Q" part of this group.
Can't have "Return of the Champions" when the champion himself is missing.
All good things come to an end and for Queen it
was on Nov 24, 1991.
This group will be on a great rock concert, I'm sure.Is this Queen?
Nope.

Different and entertaining? Yes... Better? No!!!

???
C´mon Martin... a statement like this is absolutely rediculous!
I´d say this live version of I Want It All is undoubtedly much better than it would have been with John Deacon on bass! :-)
PS: ...of course I´ll have to admit that the operatic section of BoRhap was up to Freddie´s standards! ;-)
...and never forget... "Queen in Concert" wasn´t just Freddie hitting all the high notes... it was more his showmanship than anything else!!!
Brian May + Roger Taylor + the rest of the backing musicians 2005 is more about making money than anything else... in my opinion still enjoyable, but somehow very sad!

The question was whether or not certain Q+PR renditions were better than Queen's renditions, not whether or not this was Queen. Bottom line: you and many others here are far too closed-minded to even entertain the possibility of Queen 2K+ being better in any way, or even having different positive qualities than the old Queen. With that in mind, you will never gain any respect here from people other than those who are completely like-minded as you. People like you are Freddie fans, not Queen fans, or even music fans. If you were, then you would be open-minded to new directions music can take.
Fenderek, you saved me from having to go on one rant, but I just had to go on another one, anyway! :P
Right, so... songs that I think Paul sings better live than Freddie live: I Want To Break Free, and A Kind Of Magic. His ending of Break Free, and also BoRhap... chills up the spine. He just gives a different flavour to the Queen classics, and it's brilliant.
Brian plays I'm In Love With My Car with many more of those little details now than he did in Queen, because he has Jamie doing rhythm guitar. Brian sounded incredibly strong singing I Want It All at Brixton, and I wish he would have continued singing this song throughout the tour - although Paul does do a fine job on this one as well.
And I have to agree, Paul puts a unique spin on WWRY and WATC with his bluesy-style vocals. He also does a fantastic job on The Show Must Go On. Paul definitely has a better vocal range than Freddie did on stage. Too bad so few people have a true appreciation for this man and what he does.
But of course, nobody will ever have the stage presence that our beloved FM had. But that isn't what Paul is. Paul is being Paul, not trying to emulate FM, and that's why I like him as well.
