I've just watched the newest one about it on TV...it's horrible...it reminds me of horror I felt when I saw the news about some earthquake disasters in my country, especially the heaviest one which happened over ten years ago and caused horrible damages. I'm worried about people involved in that hurricane...and I hope she, Kayla is okay. In case of heavy earthquake disasters of my country, I sent relief supplies as much as I could afford, which I thought people would need. Although there's not much that I can do, I'm hoping...

I understand your reaction OgreBattleField1980... I feel sorry for the situation you're into right now. I do think it's horrible what happens there. And my thought are with the victims.

I can perfectly understand your attitude Mir@cle but one moron for a president does not mean all of its citizens should be ignored in their time of need. I just donated US$5000 because I can and my attitude is that it shouldn't happen to my country but if it did I'm sure America would help.

Afterall, the Red Cross is everywhere and it doesn't really care where the help comes from as long as it comes.

Ogrebattle, I hope you find your loved ones. There are numerous websites with lists and they grow by the hour, so chances are increasing that you are able to reconnect soon. Be sure that most people here are with you.

Fats Domino was was photgraphed being rescued by boat yesterday.

I'm organizing donations here at school. We are going to collect money to send to the Red Cross bc I've heard on the radio that it's too difficult to drive supplies down to the areas hit. At this point, I feel it is best to collect money to give to the Red Cross so they can use it as they see fit. I've got 800 students here and although 50% of them live below the poverty line, I have no doubt that they will all bring in some spare change and it will make a difference.

My family and I have also donated already. As the days pass and the Red Cross annoucnes what products they are in need of, we will collect those as well.

Pull together everyone, no bitching and passing judgement right now.

I wanna say Im sorry tho for dropping the F-Bomb in that one post. You have to understand one thing. Besides my hurting pain in my heart for all of these people. I am pissed because its not just here that Ive heard what Mir@cle has said. Its all over the news. My mother as I talked to her this morning said shes ashamed to even be a resident in New Orleans thanks to the media. They are not showing everyone thats hurting here... they are basically showing the poverty stricken black community. They dont realize there are more people than just the black community there. They are broadcasting the black people looting tvs , shoes and many other countless items. I can understand water and food .... but this tv and shoes crap has to stop. La Crosse Wisconsin just raised 380,000 $ to send to New Orleans itself. And come tomorrow im going to try and double that.

But the media other than stating that bush is an idiot which infact he is. They arent giving the complete 100% picture of this disaster. Just like with the war in Iraq. My best friend just came home to New Orleans from that war. Everything he has told me , is exactly opposite of what the media is saying. They found the chemicals... Bush was still wrong ... but they did find evidence... what they found was Saddam did do as bush asked and got rid of them.... Bush just jumped the gun .. to get revenge for his father THAT is where bush is wrong.
