Two sky scrapers like the WTC (apparenly) have been set on fire, a 7 yr old girl who was going to the toilet in a shelter was raped by a heartless guy, and that many are still dying in the chaos unfolding around them, There is no law and order, and wheres bush? last i heard off somewhere learning how to play guitar!

My heart goes out to the 99.9% of good, innocent people who need food, water, medical care, shelter.
The looting part sucks...and you have that in most emergency situations but it's mostly theft.
.........But WHY on God's earth are there people down there using this emergency to...Rape women and children, car jack and shoot people who do have cars/vehicles, and SNIPERS...who are Shooting at choppers and medivacs trying to evacutae people off of rooftops and out of hospitals....I cannot believe that people (a minority but why any at all) that would use this life and death emergency situation...to rape and kill for kicks.

ok, 3/4 of the american population believe when a storm hits and the power goes out with some flooding it is the end of the world, so the best thing for them to do is steal as much as possible and kill as many as possible, what a great way to go out and to go to hell, if it were me i wud be trying to save people, not bloody kill them when many are on death row anyways, horrible thing to say but its true, youv got many thousands of people being trapped and raped and killed, cos fucking american twats think its the end of the world! normally when something happens in this country people try helping one another now kill them, sheesh what a bunch of yanky tossers!

Taylorgaga, like I said I am sickened and appalled that there are those who use this disastrous situation to rape, kill, and pillage for kicks...but again..if you read my posts on these various hurricae topics..I did say it was a MINORITY of people.
The news ALSO showed last night...MANY, MANY good samaritans, people who themselves are homeless, hungry and wounded....helping others even worse off.
The news showed 2 homeless elderly men, who had lost EVERYTHING, going back and forth down a dangerously flooded street to find people trapped by the flood waters and rescue them. The ABC news crew came upon the 2 men who had put 2 crippled women, one with her wheelchair in a dinghy boat, and the news crew put all 4 in their SUV and brought them to the Natl. Guard to take to Houston.
.........BUT, the 2 men saw the 2 crippled women off to safety and asked to STAY, and the news crew saw them return to the same flooded street to search and rescue more people.
..The news also saw a diabetic woman, stuck at the convention center, who hadn't had insulin in 4 days, who collapsed and started going into diabetic shock. A HOMELESS nurse, also there as an ecacuee, not on duty, but needing to be rescued herself, found 1 syringe of insulin and gave it to the woman.
..The news also showed, the hundreds and hundreds of medical personel, doctors, nurses...trapped...in hospitals there, with NO medical supplies, equipment, electric, food, water...but TRYING to help the patients also still trapped in flooded, rat infested hospital wards.
The news also showed another woman at the convention center...going through rat infested, dark hallways and the basement...in dangerous conditions, where she could have been raped or killed all alone...searching for any type of food and water for those even sicker, hungry. She and the news crew found some canned goods and bottled orange juice that they gave to the most needy.
..Also what about the USA's almost entire National music and film communities and industries holding, starting tonight, NUMEROUS nationally televised benefit concerts, on NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, MTV, VH1, CMT, MTV2, MTVU, VH1 Classics, BET..Sirus Satellite Radio...our own..Live 8...so to speak....over the next 2 weeks (READ MY BLOGS FOR INFO)..featuring Green Day, Harry Connick, Jr, Wynton Marsalis, Rob Thomas, Dave Matthews Band, Faith Hill, Jay-Z, Russell Simmons, Grethon Wilson, Tim McGraw, Leonardo DiCaprio, etc, etc. etc.....to raise funds, and collect food, medical necessities, water, clothes, volunteers....ALL...which go directly to the official charity to help the victims of Katrina.....The American Red Cross.
.....Even An Annual USA Benefit we have here.....The Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Labor Day Telethon, which is held every year to raise money to find a cure for the terrible disease, Muscular Dystrophy... will devote and donate funds from both its 1st 4 hours of broadcast and its last 4 hours of broadcast to victims of Katrina.

Anyway... it´s your country, it´s your people dying there and it´s your president and his administration kissing babys in Biloxi more than five days after the hurricane hit your landmark... God bless America and it´s people... whether they live in the north or in the south... black or white!

Diabetic shock occurs from a low blood sugar as a result of low blood sugar and too much insulin. She was headed for a diabetic coma as a result of keto-acidosis which results from not having insulin. Insulin dependent diabetics need to balance their insulin and food intake.
I hope that they don't give insulin to someone in shock because they'll kill them. (enough of that rant)

I wouldn't agree with the National Guard shooting to kill looters. If they have to shoot, they should only shoot to disable them from taking things that they are not entitled to or shoot a warning shot in to the air.
i thought in emergancies the national guard and the army had special permission to shoot any looters or anyone who seemed dangerous :S
