I'd be Roger, but i would want him to be taller.
I've already got a similar quiet husky voice as him (except with a Scottish accent and not as good a singing voice as him! lol)

Despite I play keyboard and piano, I think I'd rather be John Deacon...I wouldn't want to be in the limelight like Freddie or Brian, like John I wouldn't want to sing in the songs, just write some of them and play bass brilliantly.

I've been away from the boards since Friday but I have some demos I recorded on my Queen site at http://queen.shanemcdonald.org - the downloads are on http://queen.shanemcdonald.org/downloads.html .
I had some recording problems on some of them and others were recorded in only a few minutes and I intend re-recording them to accommodate a tighter tempo. But if you're interested you can have a listen.

I have a Boss BR532 Digital Studio (4 track) which uses a SmartMedia card, but at the moment I have to rely on connecting the headphones out socket to the microphone in jack on the PC and record it on "Cool Edit", which is a nice sound recording package.
I liked the sound I got from the "Forever" track, but I intend re-recording some of the existing downloads on the site, as the timing went a bit astray on some of them and the piano sound may not have been what I was after. As you will have noticed my guitar work is not the greatest but its getting better as I do new stuff.
I'm thinking of doing "It's a Hard Life" next.

I actually sit down with a CD player and the Queen albums and listened by ear for the chords / bass notes and transcribed them by hand.
Thats mainly how I learn the songs. I have some sheet music which I used to get the finer points of songs like Bo Rhap, but I no longer need the music to play them.
