I know there is a video of this concert taped by local tv in our archives somewhere, Im wondering if anyone out there in the web may have it (audio or video). Im very interested to see what Queen were like in my home country, I know Freddie was completely shit faced so it should have been an amusing show.

Nope youd be right, Queen have always been extremely popular here and are always played on TV and Radio. I think people here were shocked by the I Want To Break Free video just as much as Americans were though. Damn ignorant people not being able to take a joke.
Hey fellow Kiwi, there was a similar topic not so long ago and the general consensus seemed to be that nobody really knows. It might be gathering dust somewhere in TVNZ.
Where are you? I'm in Hamilton (don't laugh).

Hehe Im in Dunedin, even worse. Fellow kiwi fans need to band together and get this priceless jewel out in the open.
short version -
A couple of years ago, I emailed TVNZ's archives dept. They said they didn't have any footage. Considering that they were the only TV company at the time, I doubt it exists any more. Of course, it could have been 'removed' from the archive at some time or other.

Hmm that sucks. I guess the mystery will never be solved then.
Haven't TVNZ got a really bad habit of trashing stuff that might be good to keep? Then they regret it later of course...bastards.
Same could be said of the BBC.
I also mentionen I once knew a guy who knew a guy who said he had a soundboard recording from the Auckland show. Unfortunately I lost touch about 10 years ago.
