We recently visited a holiday park in North Devon, the head of Entertainment claimed:
He was the original drummer with the Queen? And still remains friends with Brian May?
His name is: Martin King.
Is there any truth in his claim?

Martin (Luther?) King? Former Queen's drummer? Yeah... He played with Nelson Mandela, who was former Queen's vocalist.

Strange as Queen was formed by Brian, Roger & Freddie. He might have meant he was one of the bassists that were tried out before John got the job.

As you said he was the original drummer with THE Queen. Maybe he was. What instrument did the Queen play?
