Is this yet another version as the ones listed above?
It has more choir singing in the choruses.

Though I'm not John, I think I can answer that: this version is listed above - US promo cassette, it's from there. 4:45. I guess you mean this one...

Actually, that is not quite correct. There were several TV versions of the documentary and one of them has footage which is not on "Champions". On German TV it was aired in the "Music Planet" series.

No - as has been said before, this is the withdrawn US cassette tape promo. I believe it was withdrawn as it too closely ressembled a Janice Joplin track (I can not recall exactly which one) - so for legal reasons, it was removed.
YV: Again many thanks. I have a number of versions of this video, but my own favourite is the UK 12" Laser Disc version - as it offers the convenience and quality of a DVD - without the drawbacks of video tape.
But I must make a confession - I recorded a "version" which aired on MTV some years back, but that just seemed to be edited from the longer video version. So even though I have a few versions (In The Lap Of The Gods, The Queen Phenomenon etc), I have not watched them all - all the way through, as I took it for granted that they all had the same content.
Shame on me!!!

Mind you, remember that someone posted an mp3 sourced from a pressing in Mexico. Was it Wilki? Anyway, I wonder how many exist. I'd love a great quality copy of that. Anyone know where there might be a copy? Even if it is a pirate cd.

Was this the broadcast where Brian auctioned his "Crazy Little Thing" guitar?
I recall he did a live rendition of Too much love..., accompanied by Jan Vayne (Dutch pianist). Rumor went that he even asked Jan to join his solo band at the time but Jan declined (as he was more classical oriented, though a big fan of Queen). Anyway, I didn't realize this footage would be that rare. I should check my old VHS tapes once, since I am sure that I have it somewhere.

Well, nowadays anything is distributed quite easily via the internet. Therefore something broadcasted in New Zealand today is available in the rest of the world tomorrow. But indeed, this footage is a bit older of course. It's just that I never thought of it ever since I recorded it. It just came to mind reading your (again excellent) post. It might eventually lead to a posting of this video on this website! :)

As for capturing, all you'd need is a DVD Recorder or a PCI video input capture card (assuming you have a PC with Windows XP/2000/etc.)
Was there any other material that re-worked by Brian, Roger & John for possible inclusion on MIH? I seem to remember a re-mix of a track by John that was being touted........?
