Brian was doing some promotional work for Innuendo in the USA, so he was not filmed with the rest of the band, he was filmed in the USA and the editors put the whole band together later.

I read in one of my numberous Queen books that Brian's solo segment of the video was added later because was in Los Angeles at the time of the shoot. You have to watch the video very closely then you can see that the bit with him performing the guitar solo is a little off.

Not sure if he mentions it on the DVD commentary section.
