Actually, I seem to recall reading Brian's comments on brianmay.com--from posted interviews as I recall or maybe in his responses to letters to Brian's Soapbox--where people ask him to support someone on (insert locality here) Idol, and his response is that he DOESN'T like such shows, and gives his reasons why.
Some of the stuff that Jen posts falls under what she categorizes as (something like) "music industry news and news from 'out there'" and I think that's where some X Idol and INXS Scrounging for New Lead Singer show notices have been posted as "industry news" not as "this just in from the lips of Brian May!"
I agree it can be confusing, but it is my understanding that Brian's input is limited to "Brian's Soapbox"

Brian and the news section don't have anything to do with each other, though...he writes his Soapbox, the rest is in Jen's hands. How could he be crowing about the show if he has no responsibility for the articles being posted? Anything having to do with Queen, even the tiniest detail of Robbie Williams singing We Will Rock You on Live 8 or something like that is put up there - not because of Brian's opinions on the subjects, but because it's news.

Arlene responded to a post about INXS Rockstar with a lengthy diatribe about how she read Brian's piece attacking the show that he REGULARLY CROWS about on his website, and she was so incredulous that he'd turn on the show after him reviewing it and loving it for the attention, she exclaimed "WTF?", as in "Brian, WTF is with the about face?"
I started the topic to point out that Arlene posted a 100% mistruth about Brian's views on INXS Rockstar, backed it up with facts, and asked her WTF? is the reigning journalist of Queenzone doing posting ridiculous lies. I expect more of her, she's not a 12 year old who thinks Bohemian Rhapsody is about AIDS, so I called her out on it in a new thread. Would you rather I start new topics about favourite songs?

Can I just add, as a writer for a music magazine myself, I'd rather not be tarred with the brush as many journalists deservedly get. Everything I write is, to the best of my knowledge, truthful and all my interviews follow the transcripts of my recordings to the letter. If asked to write my opinion, I always give it truthfully and back it up with facts. Without that, what worth is somebody's opinion?
That said, there are some real scum who will write or twist anything in a bid to be outrageous and get people's attention. I think they aren't even worthy of being called journalists.

I just don't think we need to start new topic each time when someone makes mistake. "Serry... WTF? There's something wrong with your English", "John S. Stuart... WTF? There was mistake in your Ultimate Collection" etc. etc.
It's not the Johnny Knoxville case with his dozens of Red Special FAQ topics - Arlene didn't start about 10 topics about Brian's website at least.
I have to agree Marial. It used to be that we had a few really interesting news items... now there's so many useless tidbits I don't even bother looking anymore.
Well... all that thing about the articles is getting really... annoying :P.
I think she still can do her job as the official journalist, I won't read those articles unless is something interesting... and 99% of them aren't :P
