i think the live version of this song is much better. i have never liked the 80's pop that is the studio version. but this i was wonderin which chord brian is playin at wembley for the main riff in the verse. this is mainly for the guitarists out there i guess.

He's doing an E barre chord based from the A string, switches briefly to an Esus4 chord, then back to E. Something like this:

I have to agree it's much better with real guitar. I'd sure like to know the timeline for this song.. from weak demo to weak album track... to fabulous extended mix.. to single (edited from the extended mix). Pity Brian didn't replace the solo when they remixed it.

A similar variation on that E chord is used during "Tie your mother Down" - if you learn it here you can use it there too !
I agree that the live version is much better. The verses are ruined by that awful synth trying to sound a bit like an acoustic guitar (at least in my mind) but with brian May's guitar filling in live it sounds much more aggressive.
