I am probably the only person in my school who thinks Freddie was the most talented successful singer ever, and my favourite singer
Everyone else feels "he can't sing and he is crap"
The problem is everyone thinks it so it looks as though theyr'e right! These loosers must have a very bad tatse in Music
What should i do, all i ever get is "Freddie is crap" I have let Freddie down by letting these Pricks get one over on me, I need to get his dignity back!

I think you should like what you want to like and live by your own views and opinions.
Trying to change others views, or changing your life because others say otherwise, is akin to following the croud and a shite way to live.
If you think Freddie is the best singer, go for it. As long as you know it, it shouldn't matter.

why must they? it takes all sorts to make the world...and anyhow,,,they could be into led zep/beatles/floyd/genesis/the who all very commendable
and Freddie doesn't need YOU to champion his cause...he certainly won't stand YOUR corner when you need defending....get over it...and they're not pricks just because they hate queen...most people tend to love or hate queen - they have that affect - you don't get very many who say 'queen - they're okay'

johnny i think it all just boils down to trends i.e. whats happening now etc i remember being a kid at school and the same sort of crap used to go on with the kids, in most cases lol (not all) they probably have not listened to queen:) a lot of the kids probably just copy there pals who are into a particular singer or band, not all tho incase i'm shot down,,

They don't get it because:
1. They just don't know much about music
2. They can't get past the visual of Freddie prancing around in leotards
3. The stigma of homosexuality
4. The stigma of AIDS, etc., which they just don't want to be even remotely identified with.
But YOU have been able to get past all that and recognize and appreciate Queen's talent level and the quality of their music. So, my advice is to ignore the opinions of others and remain true to the music that stirs your passions. Your appreciation for Queen's music will stay with you for your entire life, and you will continue to marvel at it on a regular basis.
I'm sure you would consider me to be an old fart as I am the same age as Brian May, but I speak from experience.

But Johnny, every1 is entitled to their opinion. You can argue an argue your point but people willl just argue and argue back. Trust me, i have the same problem. But you have to realise that if you believe in something, it doesn't make it right and people don't need to think the same way. Thats what communism is for. But just be greatfull that there is a site where people share your veiws.
