Hi,
As you may already know i use a Vox BM Deaky amp to try and get Brian's sound
the problem is i am baffled by the choices of effect pedals, and have heard that adding effects to the VBM is not neccessary as it is a standalone amp
is it the V-Stack which gives all the EFFECTS in one unit? flanging, phasing etc

WUM
i know. but where would we be without our resident comic...only shame is the joke has worn thin
But i am not winding any one up! what would i get out of it
Wait until Zoom or whoever release the Brian May effects pedal.
You can already get a Brian May sound with a Xoom pedal anyway. Just play with it, use your freakin' ears. If you're going to shell out for a Brian May guitar, you should put effort in as well.
Of course I know you're kidding. But anyway.

Red Special - coin - VOXAC30 - booster - delay box - Deacy Amp - old coat or a blanket
That's all Brian uses, so why would anyone need more?!
If one has all this connected and does NOT sound like Brian - there must be something wrong with the player...
Playing with that stuff makes it almost impossible to NOT sound like Brian!

i think i can see his problem...he's using
'an old coat AND a blanket' instead of 'OR a blanket'
small technical detail - but in sound processing it'll make all the difference ;-)
LOL!
...AND assuming he is hanging the coat and/or the blanket on the right piece of equipment!
I know, hanging it around the sixpence might give an unwanted effect :-)

No, someone is actually gonna release a BM effects pedal. No joke, its on the soapbox.

I think you really are because people like myself already explained what you could do. Or did you just conveniently forget? TRY SEARCHING YOUR OLD POSTS!
Peace,
Adam.
i think you can fix your problem...instead of removing either the 'old coat' or the 'blanket' just add a 'cardigan' and a 'chiffon blouse' to the setup...i think you'll find this will eradicate the issues you have

There already are quite some BM pedals. Guild produced some, Fryer....

I heard DigiTech are working on a Brian May signature pedal to go along with their Hendrix and Clapton pedals.
You've got to plug it in and take a bath with it, then you'll get some great effects, including the one at the end of Hammer to Fall
