Which member of Queen was closest to Freddie? Does anyone know...I was just curious...because if I ever meet any of the members I definitely want to ask about Freddie
I think Brian, even 'cause after Freddie's death he thought about suicide and went to many american hospital trying to cure his sort of depression! That was a dark period for Brian!

If you need to learn more than this, go to his site! There is an interview with him about that period!
Its a difficult one to answer because the band are hardly going to say who was closer to freddie and im sure they all had different relationships with him. Well in the early Queen/Smile years it was definitely Roger Taylor but i would say Brian ended up with a closer affinity with Freddie
Empty spaces what are we living for ? SHOW MUST GO ON!
I thought it might be Brian because they were the common writing team it seemed, wow, that's sad about Brian wanting to commit suicide, I suppose they were extremely close

Roger was closer..
"I'm a greedy bitch" - Freddie Mercury REST IN PEACE FREDDIE MERCURY!!
Dave Clark and roger and brian and John and dont forget Mary too :)
I am just a Queen Fan and the show must go on
i think it was john
because he had a special relation with freddie since the early days
and it`s known that john was very very sad after feddie`s death
freddie had always supported john, even when bri and rog didnt

I read from many sources that John was particularly close to Freddie (read Peter Freestone's recent interview on Brian May's Web site). Freddie took him under his wing from the beginning and wanted to protect him for the harsh reality of rock star life even though Freddie himself wanted to immerse himself in it. Peter contemplates that perhaps John is out of the spotlight now because a)he still has a family to raise (2 younger kids) and b) Queen just isn't the same to him without Freddie, which is respectable.
If it was john, that may be one of the reasons that John isn't touring with Queen and Paul. He may feel that It wouldn't be the same without Freddie.

And besides, Brian said in some video that he felt it was like his brother's death.
Je vais bien. Estoy bien.
More power to John for not touring...even though he will be missed, it's not the same with out Freddie, and I'm suprised Brian's doing it...but oh well

and don't forget Jim Hutton
Freddie non si spiega, perchè non si può spiegare ciò che è evidente. Is it true, Fred??!!
I believe it was john. It makes perfect sense. John wouldnt be in retirment if freddie was still alive. He obviously didnt want to go on without him and roger and brian have known eachother the longest and it would make sense that they were the closest and freddie and john were closer. I believe that they all were closest to freddie but roger and brian werent as close to john.
I good friend would be their to bail you out of jail...but a best friend would be there saying that was fuckin awsome!
