Robbie is the Justin Timberlake of the UK, a boy band defect who thinks he is God! Thankfully Americans don't like Robbie and his sales in the US are PATHETIC. The reason why Robbie tanked in America was:

c)music was going downhill

I would also like to add that although Paul Rodgers sings very well, he doesn't sound a lot like Freddie. However, after a few listens of the CDs, I think his voice suits those songs as well. Not as well as Freddie's, of course, but well.

In 2005, a buncha guys toured Europe, played a bunch of songs that nobody has done properly for 19 years, made thousands of people very happy and then went home again.
Why the fuck is there such a fuss over what name they picked, which singer they went with, when you could be - I dunno. Doing something else?

BPP doesn't like Paul Rodgers. Paul is a well-respected rock legend unlike George Michael whose respect level in America sank after his arrest in 1998 for his "episode in the restroom". Robbie Williams is thankfully hated by Americans and his career did not ever take off in the US. Paul is a staple of American rock radio be it with Free, Bad Company, The Firm(with Led Zep mastermind Jimmy Page), The Law(a supergroup with ex-Who drummer Kenney Jones) and on his own.
