I Didn't Know The P Word Was Allowed On Network TV

Last night 10pm EST USA time I was watching the NBC TV Network show ''Law And Order'', and one of the actors came right out and called some thug a PRICK.

What with the FCC, I thought that word was not allowed on Network TV. Geez I remember when the FCC got themselves in an uproar and fined ABC for showing a 1 hour highlight show from Live 8, the day of Live 8, and they forgot to blip The Who singing the F word in ''Who Are You'' (which by the way I thought was STUPID, it's only a song and was not directed at anyone) and the FCC fined ABC and demanded an apology.

So how did ''Law And Order'' let the P word slip?

They've said it for years on NYPD Blue.

I know about NYPD Blue including Dennis Franz dropping trowel.

But..in the last year, after the Janet Jackson ''wardrobe malfunction'', the FCC clamped down again, as you see by what they did with fining ABC for not bleeping The Who during their Live 8 performance, and the FCC has gotten very Draconian and strict this past year imposing fines on everyone, including Howard Stern (who they had left alone all these years, causing him to RESIGN from his contract and sign with the NON FCC regulated Sirius Satellite Radio).

So ''Law and Order'' must have gotten lucky with that slip.

Hmm, must be quite Naziriffic on words like that over in the US.

Or the word ''prick'' isn't as big a deal as it once was. The FCC has clamped down on ''Fuck'' and nudity, not on words like prick, bitch, or bastard, especially when aired after 10 Eastern/9 Central.

I can't believe how much censorship there is on american TV. I remember when I was in Vegas a couple of years ago, we got back to our hotel at about midnight one night, my wife crashed out and Decided to watch some TV. One of the main channels was showing Carrie and The Terminator that night, so I settled in to watch them. Not only were the films interrupted every five minutes by adverts (another thing that pisses me off) but virtually all the swearing and nudity had been cut out of both films, and this was in the early hours of the morning. What a joke!

That you can't say "fuck" more than once in a movie unless you want it to get an R rating in USA? :/

I believe it's two times. It's stupid. Censorship and the movie rating system are incredibly idiotic.

What really cracks me up is that when a tit comes out- huge scandal. But people killing other people, naaah...

Same with TV or Games- just like the latest scandal with sex scenes in GTA... I mean- it's OK that the game is about killing as many ppl, driving through old ladies on streets, robbing etc, but a NUDE SCENE???!!! OMG! It's OK when kids play computer games, killing zombies or nazis or whatever but for God's sake- thay are definitely not allowed to see a tit!!!!

This world is completely fucked up... Human body is something to be REALLY ashamed of, but blood and sufferring... no one gives a shit about... Oh man, I said s*** word... Ooops... Oh,a nd F** word as well.... Oh what a bad person am I...
