It's working now.

Gee....this is SO much better and easier for a clueless technically inept dunderhead.

So...if I understand right, if i want to do any of the things it lists, I just copy the code.

Now...here's the part I don't understand...

WHERE do you paste it?

In the particular text, in the settings....????

This is a test to see if I understand this and did it right.

If I am correct you can't post HTML in your actual posts here, but you can in the subject line and in the topic line, as well as your profile..

Please look at the attempts I made at trying my very first time to do a marquee going to the right.

I copied and pasted it, verbatim on here 3 times and it still did NOT work.

I am at the library, and a very nice man here who is more computer literate than me, watched me do it, and he said I DID do it correctly that he can see.

The problem, he explained, was in the pasting...that the reply box is not accepting it or something and he told me to ask you what I am doing wrong.....it won't work.

And this is just the VERY FIRST thing I tried to do.

Arlene, try this website for more scripts that you can use http://www.dynamicdrive.com/ . They even tell you where to insert the script in the HTML code as well

I was browsing thru that and that said for alot of cool things like a real time clock, or a floating butterfly, to insert it into...

...the webpage directory?

What and where is that?

I think - though I'm not entirely sure so dont take this as gospel - they mean the source code. Maybe someone with more knowledge than me can help you out. Sorry :(

Most of those things on that site are for actual web pages, not blogs or stuff like that, but some may work.. I haven't tried.

I'm sorry... I dunno if it only works for myspace or something, but it should help a little.

Anyhow, if you use it for myspace you can just paste the code anywhere in your profile. For example, I have mine under the "general" section.
