Roger Meddows Taylor

Hello All!!!
recently i heard say that Roger Taylor's "given surname" is Meddows, yet somewhere else i heard that was his middle name.

Does this mean that his given name is Roger Meddows and he just added Taylor, or is his actual name Roger Maddows Taylor???

(p.s apologies that this topic is written as "Roger Maddows Taylor" I'm using a really new-fangled computer...it's kinda weird...)

It was a family name passed down I do believe, but he dropped it after a while.

I read in Queen the Early Years that the name was passed down through family but they never specified whether it was a surname or a middle name. Or maybe they did. I just skimmed through the book and read the same parts over again. ;)

He has two surnames, Meddows and Taylor :)
