In 1988 Chile said NO to Pinochet's dictatorship

On a day like this (October 5th) 17 years ago (1988) Pinochet made an election between two options: Yes if chileans want him for another 8 years on gobernment, and No if chileans want free elections in december of 1989.... and chileans said NO to Pinochet.

That starts the finish of Pinochet's dictatoship.. and chileans felt free of the killer and thief.

What a memories I have of that day. It was a sunny day, and all people were watching the TV news. Finally we knew the results very late at night, and we were so happy. Despite I was just a kid at that time, I remember it clearly, watching the news on my sister´s room, with all my family. It was indeed a historic moment.
