What I should have said was, I don't use it any more, as I never get any peace when I have it on! Why can't you talk to me on here?

That's the point, isn't it? People should respect other member's privacy, when it comes to e-mails, and no one should have to keep changing their e-mail address!

However, that isn't the issue here. I don't use Messenger any more, because I simply don't have the time. At the moment, I get a couple of hours free each evening, and half an hour in the mornings. If I get chatting on MSN, that couple of hours goes in what seems a couple of minutes, and then I don't have the time for anything else. Of course, I occasionally use MSN if I want to speak to a specific contact, but I don't just add people I don't already know.
