Robbie Williams has the odd pretty song in his repertoire, but really - he's a no one. He's the kind of guy you'd expect to run into in a pub, and have beer smashed on your head. Not the kind of guy that should be fronting Queen.
He looks oafish, he can't sing. His saving grace is that he can work up an audience (which must be a purely live thing because I actually fell asleep watching him at Live8 on the TV).
Sinceriously. I believe the only reason he's around is because of his reputation as a stage guy, because most of his songs are boring, and he's not a good enough singer to do justice to the prettier ones. He's crap.

I am a stringent Queen fan and I happen to think that Paul Rodgers is an excellent choice for them. He is widely regarded, by people who do NOT have their heads stuck firmly in their asses, as one of the best rock singers of his generation. And he's still got it. He has a respect for the material, for the band, and for the fans. It's clear from listening to the live album, and I can't wait to see them tomorrow for myself. To all naysayers: Could YOU get up there and do that? I didn't think so.
