I was thinking, a lot of fans think it's Roger's best song but I don't recall hearing of it ever played live. Was it played live? Also do Roger know how much we love the song, because maybe they should add to the setlist of this tour.

I don't think it was "live" at the BBC sessions. Roger re-recorded is lead vocal and Brian added a different solo.
It was as 'live' as most of the BBC-sessions.
Everything was played live (also on Tenement Funster) but not at-once and with overdubs.

The only thing difference between the studio and BBC versions of Tenement Funster are Roger's vocals and Bri's solo, surely?

The only songs that were recorded live in the studio were for the sessions in October of 77. All the other sessions used the original backing tracks with Freddie (or Roger in this case)re-recording their vocals. Brian re-did his solo in Flick of the Wrist. I think with their schedule being as booked as it was it would be difficult to cut new tracks, overdub, mix and master in such a short amount of time. For the "News" sessions in 77 they had just finished the album and had some time to do just that before rehearsals were to begin for the tour starting in November.
The guitar in fast Rock You is clearly double-tracked, how could it be "live"?. Some songs - like MTRnR - were indeed redone or they put a demo or something. White Queen is clearly different to the album backing track as well as Nevermore. My Fairy King is just an edit of the album version (slightly different eq and one or two harmony tracks cut out).
Well, what I meant by "live" was that the instrumental tracks for that session were recorded live in the studio and then the vocals and solos were overdubbed instead of just going in and getting a good drum track and then everyone else going back and re-doing their parts. That's much more time consuming.
If so, that's not new: most of their studio tracks had live backing tracks (piano+bass+drums or guitar+bass+drums)
