*lol*
Have you guys ever seen those LAPD cars with their motto: "TO PROTECT AND SERVE"?

Get really close to one of those police cars and if you check with a magnifying glass, you'll find a very very small print that says:

"TO PROTECT AND SERVE...

.
..
...
....
.....
......
.......

the white community"

Did I say DOCTOR Rice is not an extremely bright and capable woman? No I did not.

Did I say she has never experienced REAL racism? No I did not.

Did I say she did not grow up in Birmingham, AL. No I didn't.

The question was...how do you explain Condoleeza Rice if Bush hates black people. My response was
TOKEN. Just like this new lady who has never been a judge that the "Bushter" wants to put on the supreme court to replace Sandra Day O'Conner and keep the women folk voters at bay!

Buh Bye, now.

Well, something tells me that no matter what African American appointments Bush makes, you will automatically use your TOKEN response. That sounds biased in itself. Well, anyway, I made a valid proposition on page one, and since you all chose to ignore it, I'm going to just assume that you all are as full of bullshit as you claim FGT to be.

I have to agree with EvilTwin 100%. Please...Mr. Bush ass..er baby kisser...has to do what he can to get all the votes he can. He could give zero shit about the people that vote for him, but he damn well wants and Needs their vote, and unfortunatly alot of women and African Americans may and will be gullible enough to fall for his bag of horses**t.

I am not one of them. I Despise this dunderhead, unqualified woman puppet he is trying to get on the Supreme Court, and her lack of experience, stance on heavyweight important issues, and judicial work, will do more HARM than anything else. because she will just go along with any decision Dumbass Head Justice William Roberts and the rest of the Supreme Court make, without thinking or deliberating for herself...and bringing any merit/new perspectives that may change their perspectives and therefore decisions.

Just a puppet. And, no offence, her age is a scary factor to me too. She is too old to take the bench. Bush is bringing his own toy in that will be there just long enought to go along with his viewpoints
xyz
Hmmm... So, Alex Solan, you can't even get the Chief Justice's name correct, but ROBERTS is the dumbass? Riiight.

The problem is that no matter how intelligent you might want to respond, the fact that she phrases her whole debate by saying "Look here, he employed a black person, ergo he likes all blacks" is superficial and shows little critical thought on Sarajane's part.

I'm not going to claim that Bush hates black people, as seems to be vogue. But just because he appointed Dr. Rice does not mean he has the best interest of all blacks in mind.

A historical metaphor: Sarajane's line of reasoning would easily apply to those whites who supported Booker T. Washington over a hundred years ago. The problem with Booker T. (who advocated accomodation of whites) is that he may not have represented as many blacks as W.E.B. Du Bois did (who was much more militant). Washington was, to use the language of the time, the symbol of the "Good Negro."

Is Rice a shining light of hope for blacks from poverty stgricken areas? Or is she safe minority choice meant to broaden the Republican Party's appeal? That's a debate, but Sarajane is too simplistic and never takes those issues into consideration. Thus, she gets this thread.

Besides, why should I take anything she says seriously when she repeatedly posts about a media circus from 10 years ago as if it has any sort of importance?

As far as I'm concerned Condolezza Rice might have no interest whatsoever in helping black people living in poberty.

Yet people should cut the poor woman some slack. She's already way too busy wiping the asses of a bunch of rich white guys.

As far as this whole very "intelliengent" conversation goes. WHO CARES. Now really, does anyone in America cares about Bush's racism. No. Does anyone anywhere else cares? No.

Look FGT. GROW UP. Yes, This is in FACT, Personal. But No-one cares about this shit. Now starting a topic like this is a waste of time. If you want people to "hear" your stupid Pro-Bush rants. May i suggest
1. QZ Blog
2. Any Blog
3. Or a MySpace

Do this. I am not attacking you. I am just saying grow up you need to go outside. What are you 18 right? GO live life away from a computer you dont want to break out of your shell at 50. Also no-one really gives half a crap about this. No-one. Politics are good and all and can provide you a good carrer but I bet 79% of QZ are teenagers . We Don't and adults say "If it dont hit me I dont care." Now If you refuse all my suggestions. Then just join a POLITICAL MESSAGE BOARD. SO others will productively and happily discuss you political insights.

Finally calm down with these topics. Everyday, I check here I see a new topic talking about what happened today in "The Life and Times of Sarajane"

As for the issue I dont care either way.

So Thier is my view which will be replied with bad names and cursing by everyone else so I will see you all later. Im leaving for a bit for QZ

uhhh, Many black people don't like Rice and Powell, some think they are sellouts.....Many people as a joke don't really call her black.
I care about this. I care that every day people are making fallacious arguments based solely on what they have heard on the news, on the internet, or from their parents. I care that every day I have to listen to unfounded sentiments that their speakers fully believe in and openly support. I care that people found their beliefs in obscurity, and back them in attacking their opposition, rather than their arguments. So just because you don't care about something really means nothing as to what others do.

Now, aside from that, I will admit that FGT's argument was extremely fallacious. However, I will take a fallacious argument over an ad hominem argument any day of the week.

I try to stay away from these political bitch fests, mostly because the majority seems to base its arguements on the Daily Show angle. I just have to comment on this quote. What votes is Bush trying to secure. Bush isn't running for President and will most likely never run for public office again. If you are supposing that there is a push by the republican party to attract voters via its personel, you're damn right. Democrats do the same thing. Politics is a popularity contest in that respect.

Now, I won't claim to know everything about American politics. I must confess that the more I learn, the more I fine that I don't know. I think that some of you are not thinking deep enough before coming up with half-truths. Please, consult history, and remember that CNN and the New York Times can't devote hours and pages towards disecting single issues.

Oh, and I don't think that GW has more prejudices than the average human. Prove me wrong with fact and I will change my mind.
