Does somebody know how much spectators the following concert had:
Magic Tour, Sun 3rd Aug 1986,
Estadio Rayo Vallecano, Madrid.
I read 45000 but that seem way too much.
Thank you for every info about this concert!

45,000 it was - do you want their names and addresses?

I was there.
Well ok I wasn't, I was only six months old and in Perth Australia. But I wish I had been there in hindsight.

Hola!
The Rayo Vallecano Stadium (now: Teresa Rivero Stadium) has 15,500 seats now. Twenty years ago, this stadium had the same capacity or even less, but I don't know for sure. You've to count with the general admission.
You can see a pic of that stadium here:

Come on, the seats are only 15000, but have in mind that the grass was also full of people (which is much bigger than the seats).
A friend of mine was there, and said it was so f'ing full
Mustapha intro was sang, and doves were freed during the beginning of Love of my life
I live very close to that stadium - I mean.. I can get there in 15mins walking, what a pity I was born in April 1986 :(

Wembley stadium took 72,000 for football games in just the seats. It also took about the same for gigs, even with the pitch full of people - quite a lot of seats were lost at one end of the stadium due to staging.

Yeah it's roughly the same, at most you'd gain a couple thousands... so the figure's been inflated and loads of gullible people have swallowed the lie and made it fanon (fan canon). I wonder if that's ever happened in rock/pop music...
