I'd like to know in what tour Freddie and Brian started performing "Love of my life".
Does somebody know??...

By the way... which one do you prefer, the live version or the album version??...

As for the second, though - I prefer the album version, because it's not sing along. Could do without the harp and backing vocals, though.

I would love to have heard a "live" version without the audience sing-along; in other words, with Brian on the acoustic guitar and Freddie singing - alone, *in that lower key.*

The live version started in autumn '77. I prefer the studio take or the live one sung by Brian.

It's perfect in either version to me. The studio version is a master stroke, perfect overdubs by Freddie.
The live version is wonderful to listen to if the audience is good.

And finally, Brian's version in 2005 is wonderful, I actually thought he was going to fail but it's wonderful to listen to.

Live version from Houston, where it doesn't sound like corny stadiium chant- sang entirely (and beautifuly) by Freddie.

I prefer the Live Version, because the audience always had a wonderful time singing this song. Even in countries where English was not the Language such as in countries like Brazil, they still sang the song beautifully. Take care!!!!!!!

Same, i like the studio version and Brian singing his voice is sooooooooooo soft and just right for the song, not saying Freddies isnt it just suits Brian more for me.

I also prefer Brian on vocals. Freddie sings it well. Brian delivers it perfectly

I wouldn't sing along. Then again, I've never sung along at any concert I've been to, no matter the artist(s). :)
