Depeche Mode anyone?

Has anyone gotten their new album 'Playing The Angel'?

It sounds much better than their previous one 'Exciter', and could perhaps be their best work since 'Violator'. It's still too experimental for my taste, though but I might end up growing more fond of it later on. However, I really like the new single 'Precious'.

Here I am. I've got it. I love it. If there weren't Queen and Pink Floyd - I'd spend my free time on DepecheModeZone.Com :)

I don't like VIOLATOR- I consider "Soings of faith..." and "Ultra" to be their best works... But I don't have the new album yet...

I've had it since Oct 10th.....

I like Ultra better, but the songs are growing on me.

One of my favorite bands, left over from my high school days of yore.

Dave Gahan is, quite simply, lucky to still be alive.

I always thought 'Black Celebration', 'Music For The Masses', and 'Violator' to be their best work.

'Songs Of Faith & Devotion' and 'Ultra' were good albums, but not as good as their late 80s work.

I like them alright...what about Erasure? Any fans of them here?

Erasure was more like the gay version of Depeche Mode.

Although the earlier Depeche Mode before the dark period post 'Black Celebration' was pretty gay.

I have Exciter(great album) and of course the singles compilations. They have done some great stuff the last, what, 20 years?...

My absolute fave songs are Enjoy The Silence, People Are People, I Feel Loved, Dream On and Personal Jesus.
