Okay, so this computer I'm using I've had for about 6 months now, and all that time I've used MSN Messenger and it's add-on Messenger Plus. A couple of days ago, I downloaded an update for Messenger Plus, and ever since then I've had problems. My computer froze 10 times in roughly an hour, and I figured the problem may have been Messenger Plus, so I uninstalled it. The problem still occurred though, so I uninstalled Messenger. I started using Windows Messenger, and had no problems, but I missed the look and feel of MSN (lol), so I reinstalled it, and it was fine for about an hour. But it just froze again. The weird thing is, the other night it froze while I was listening to music, but the music kept playing. :S I can't transfer all 250 of my contacts to a similar program like AIM, so I wondered if anyone had any tips..? I figured I'd ask here before contacting MSN.
Thanks in advance.
Oh yeah, and I've run a virus check, it found nothing. lol

Somebody To Love...
...go to www.downloads.com and search for "TuneUp Utilities". This is a great little program and will fix what could be a registry problem (the files that help control your computer and its programs). Sometimes, when you get add-ons, it fiddles with such files, and removing or updating fiddles with them even more, and to put it black and white, your computer gets confused. This might not be the case, but it is a poosibility, and registry problems or DLL problems are a cuase of a LOT of problem.
If you get stuck, feel free to give me an e-mail, or add me to your Windows messenger and you can always ask me then.

Thankyou. I'll be sure to try it out ;)
i agree with barry, sounds like spyware,
Messenger Plus is a cack add-on. It may do some nice things, but ulimately it just messes with your system. Did with mine, but I got rid.
But I can 95% guarantee you that downloading TuneUp Utilities and running a registry scan will sort your problem.

TuneUp Utilities found a shit load of problems on my pc, well worth using it.
What always works is:
- Press Windows key + R
- Enter cmd and hit return
- Type format c:\ and choose 'Y'
;)
No, seriously... Try hitman pro. That's a good program to remove all your spyware.

TuneUp Utilities is everything in one, seriously, I swear by it.
Virus checker, defrag, system cleaner, you can fiddle with graphics - the stuff Windows can do AND a whole lot more.
If I'm allowed, I'll "accidentally" upload my TuneUp key-generator so you can unlock it for full use. But only accidentally mind...
